Stanford v. Duke, 26 March 2011

Michael Li

Michael posted 21 pictures of this game to a Flickr set including this which he entitles "All Eyes Follow the Ball" as indeed they do:

Click through to the Flickr for more action, ambience, and celebration.

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin posts a ton of good pics to a Smugmug gallery, like this of Nneka in the second half:

Go to the gallery for first-half defense and rebound shots, second-half offense pics, and post-game net-cutting.

Scott Uyeno

Scott got his "professional" camera turned away at the door—curse you, NCAA!—but persevered with a lesser one and posted 28 pics to a Flickr set winding up with this of Tara, exiting the floor with the trophy:

Stanford v. S. Carolina, Fresno, 24 March 2012

Scott Uyeno

Scott posts 10 pictures to a Flickr set showing the atmosphere and mood of the game, such as this timeout huddle:

Michael Li

Michael, not wanting to tempt the NCAA door-guards, entered with only a modest camera, and writes "It's very difficult to take good action shots with a point-and-shoot camera." Nevertheless he put 21 shots up on a Flickr set. Browsing through it, you will at first think he aimed primarily to document things that don't move too much, mascots and coaches, or this study of Duke's Allison Vernerey waiting to sub-in:

...but keep going and you will find a five-shot "set to continuous" sequence—and who knew the Canon Powershot would do continuous?—of Joslyn Tinkle going to the basket with Sara James reacting in the background. Can't tease that here, but check this of the Cardinal's defense, and especially check the faces on the Stanford fans beyond. Hey, lighten up, Heather!

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin apparently got a decent lens past the door guards, and what's more got into the front row of the Save-Mart Center, posting 50 shots to a Smugmug gallery with lots of action like this first-half block by Jos:

and a second half drive by Amber,

PAC-12 Tourney Championship game 10 March 2012

David Cortesi

Shooting from the centerline of Staples we posted 16 pics to a Smugmug gallery with shots of Vanessa and Emerson, net cutting, and some action including this rather majestic bucket by Nneka:

PAC-12 Tourney, Day 2

Dave Cortesi

We took a few pictures in Galen Center of Stanford-Washington and the WSU upset of SCU, posting them to a Smugmug gallery. Here's WSU celebrating:

And here's Bonnie, who came in when Stanford was 0-6 for three-pointers and immediately did this:

Click to the gallery for a dozen more Cardinal and other shots.

Saw a few more cameras there; anybody else want to contribute?

Stanford at Cal, 4 March 2012

Michael Li

Three fan shooters made the trek to Haas. Michael posted a small selection to his Flickr set, including several of the half-time exhibition of unicycle basketball:

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin sat in almost the same relative position as she does at Maples and put 47 ("I left too many in") shots in her Smugmug gallery with people shots including a good paparazzi capture of three alumnae enjoying the game, and action like this of Nneka putting a block on Brittany Boyd:

Take that, freshman.

Dave Cortesi

We shot about 150 exposures, but only a dozen were worth posting to our Smugmug gallery with probably the best being this of Bonnie Samuelson mixing it up for a rebound:

Interestingly, Baranduin posted a shot at the exact same moment from the opposite side.

Seattle University at Stanford, 29 Feb 2012

Scott Uyeno

Scott posts 34 pics of North-end action to a Flickr set, with a slew of crisp, bright action shots like this of Chiney, looking for a shot:

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin posted 32 shots to a Smugmug Gallery, which she says represents "the sum total of everything that was even slightly in focus. Oh... look... how did that [autofocus] button get on 'M'?" Fortunately one of the in-focus shots was this of a Chiney rebound try:

Michael Li

Michael posted a modest 15 shots to a Flickr set with some people shots as well as this of Toni leading a fast break:

David Cortesi

We put 18 shots into a Smugmug gallery, pre-game and post-game and the Tree with his Scion, and a bit of action of which the best, even though it is a little soft, is probably this Sara James rebound:
