PAC-12 Tournament Day 1

David Cortesi

We put 13 shots from inside and outside the first day of the tournament in this Smugmug gallery including the Space Needle, cute kid on a fountain, a dunk exhibition, and this of Michelle Plouffe finishing a breakaway:

Oregon at Stanford, 24 February 2013 (Senior Day)

Scott Uyeno

Scott gives us 49 shots in a Flickr gallery. There's a great shot of Tess Picknell securing a rebound amidst a flock of ducks, but we thought we'd tease with this shot of Bonnie demonstrating what scouts mean by "wingspan".

Michael Li

Michael posts 18 shots to a Flickr set, among them a shot of the tip-off showing what nobody else (including the referees) saw: that Jillian Alleyne grabbed Chiney's arm during the jump. Tip-off still ended up in the Cardinal's hands. But here's a nice shot of the Senior Day family portrait:

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin posts 71 shots to a Smugmug Gallery, with lots of action like this:

And a bunch of Senior Day pics, of which I enjoyed this of the team watching videos:

Oregon State at Stanford, 23 February 2013

Scott Uyeno

Scott posts 57 crisp action shots to a Flickr set including this of Chiney and Mikaela fencing in Ruth Hamblin:

Michael posts 10 shots to a Flickr set of which the prize has to be this, Jos scoring her 1,000th career point:

Baranduin Briggs

Baranduin reported in late due to email problems but has posted 66 pics to a Smugmug gallery with lots of good action. But right in the middle is a sequence from #43 to #49 covering the most memorable play of that game. If you were there you know what is happening in this picture:

Click through to the gallery to see the whole thing; don't miss #49.

Stanford at UCLA, 17 February 2013

Michael Li

Michael, who made a careful study of the USC Song Girls last game, writes, "I had another unobstructed view of the cheerleaders. I hate it when that happens." He posted 20 pics to this Flickr set. Mostly he used a down-low center seat to get some of the intense action, like this of Sara James:

(Think SEJ has a bruise from those fingers?) Click through for Mikaela Reuf doing a good imitation of road kill, Ros G-O at work, and yes, cheerleaders.

Dave Cortesi

We shot from high up above the Stanford bench and posted 26 shots to a Smugmug gallery including this, of Bonnie taking a charge, that pretty well exemplifies the style of this game:

Click through for more action plus shots of the new Pauley, Carolyn Moos, Erica McCall, and a Nneka Ogwumike jersey.
